Responsibilities
- Assist in patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform basic life support techniques as needed.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments.
- Provide assistance in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including OR environments when necessary.
- Engage with geriatric patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique needs.
- Understand coding practices to assist with billing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Stay informed about physiology knowledge to enhance patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with working Medical Offices
- Experience in providing patient care across various demographics, particularly geriatrics, is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare staff.
