Position Overview:
The Supervising Prevention Consultant is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing prevention programs in schools and communities. This role supervises a team of Prevention Consultants and collaborates with school districts, community partners, and service providers to deliver trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies that engage youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement evidence-based prevention programs for schools and communities.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate Prevention Consultants.
- Facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies for youth and families.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other community organizations.
- Support programmatic data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a role model and ensure positive interactions with program participants.
- Schedule and assist collaborators on best practices in prevention science.
- Attend community events and meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a social service environment implementing evidence-based practices, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in community organizing, partnership development, and project management.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid NJ driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle.
- Must pass NJ Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) screening and a fingerprint-based background check.
