Quality Facilitator

SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the quality of product, parts, or materials. To ensure the quality of the items the individual will perform inspections, testing and maintenance records to ensure all standards are met. This position requires data entry, verification and utilizing testing equipment. 

Tooling responsibilities include quoting, ordering, purchasing, inspecting, organizing, and maintaining tooling and print cards; repairing or revisions to tooling used in house, where possible; ordering art and coordinating approvals from customers; maintaining and coordinating die room area(s) to ensure all tooling is housed and stored properly. 

REPORTS TO:  General Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up of sort and rework of the product, part, or material.
• Sort and rework of the product, part, or material. Removes any item that is a deviation or variation from the requirements specified in the instructions.
• Identify quality non-conformance on production floor and work directly with management to identify root cause and train other employees in identifying and correcting quality defects.
• Proceeds with minimum supervision and direction on regular assignments.
• Quoting, ordering and handling of all tooling and ink
• Maintaining organized and neat tooling area
• Creating and maintaining proper print card files/forms
• Repair cutting dies and printing plates
• All functions regarding tooling, art, print cards for local facility
• Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

• The noise level in the work environment can be at times loud.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations

• Must be mechanically inclined
• Ability to work under pressure and still maintain ideal disposition towards work.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must be able to travel as needed including overnight travel
• Team-oriented and self-directed.
