JOB SUMMARY
Provides excellent customer service for external customers, Shoreline Container and Team Shoreline employees by developing and implementing programs to assure smooth production operations for entire converting operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and oversee daily production scheduling to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Lead manufacturing operations and production personnel, including conducting daily production meetings, resolving workplace conflicts, and managing employee performance and development.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and support uninterrupted production flow.
- Develop and execute advanced production schedules to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and maximize machine center utilization to improve productivity and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive initiatives that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and procedural manuals for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Prepare and distribute manufacturing performance reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing manufacturing processes.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing-related customer concerns and product issues.
- Design and facilitate training programs for manufacturing personnel, including corrugated packaging processes, equipment operation, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Promote and enforce adherence to company quality systems, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. / B.A. degree in business administration.
- Minimum 5-7 years corrugated manufacturing experience and 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers, working knowledge of ENCORE system and MS office software (Word, Excel).
- Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact essential, as individual has access to high levels of employee, cost, design and company sensitive materials.
- Must be a hands-on leader who can adapt to changing business demands and production priorities. This salaried position requires the flexibility to work beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and as operational needs dictate, to ensure the safe and efficient achievement of production goals.
