Materials & Inventory Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help Develop and Train employees to use MAXIMO.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, Requisitioners, Stores Clerks, and Accounts Payable to solve problems and improve PM/MM workflow.
• Coordinate with Operations & Purchasing to order Chemical shipments.
• Prepare freight RTVs for shipment to vendors.
• Complete daily, weekly, & monthly inventories and reconcile as necessary.
• Support daily Operations in the Storeroom.
• Receive all chemical shipments (truck and rail) into MAXIMO.
• Receive shipping supplies and PM clothing into MAXIMO.
• Issue commodities to appropriate GLs as directed by the Comptroller at month end.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum education High School Diploma
• Experience in inventory management and order management.
• Proficient use of MAXIMO to troubleshoot problems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize requests made by various departments, including expediting materials and emergency shipments.
• Good leadership ability, including strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, includes ability to train and mentor direct reports.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Possesses an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit.

• The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations.
