Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a roll-off truck to load, transport, and deliver large open-top containers to customer locations, disposal sites, and recycling facilities.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is safe and in proper working condition.
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding assignments, delivery routes, schedule changes, and other instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents.
- Ensure containers are handled, secured, and transported safely and properly.
- Keep the truck clean and well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an air brake endorsement, as required.
- Clean driving record and a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
- Salary based on roll-off experience. A minimum of two years of experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Compensation will be based on experience, particularly prior roll-off truck experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
