Job Summary
As a Tower Technician within the Wireless Department, you'll play a vital role in our operations. Your responsibilities include daily team coordination, a safety-first mindset, organization, and training to ensure alignment with company objectives and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Climb, repair, maintain, and build communication towers.
- Installation, replacement, and repair of antenna systems equipment.
- Basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Identify and communicate hazards associated with:
- Tower Climbing and Construction equipment
- Working on or near energized lines and electrical equipment
- Analyze problematic situations and adopt an appropriate course of action.
- Follow instructions accurately and complete tasks as assigned.
- Recognize safety hazards and safely perform duties.
- Perform job duties in all weather conditions.
- Complete and submit Daily Reports and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) before each day's work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Possess a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Records check, drug screening, and background check.
- Climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Maintain a consistent level of excellence in job performance and work ethic.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Travel for extended periods up to and including Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferred OSHA 10 and or OSHA 30
- Preferred BLS/ Wilderness First Aid
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
