Supervisor – Day Program

Position Summary

The Day Program Supervisor is a full-time, exempt leadership position reporting directly to the Day Services Coordinator. In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Day Program, providing guidance and support to Directors, Coordinators, Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leads, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality services, regulatory compliance, staff development, and the health, safety, and success of the individuals we support.

What You'll Do

As our Day Program Supervisor, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Day Program while fostering a positive, supportive team environment.

• Supervise, coach, and develop staff to ensure exceptional person-centered care.

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals receiving services.

• Support the development and implementation of individualized skill acquisition programs.

• Maintain compliance with DDD regulations, Medicaid Waiver standards, licensing requirements, and NHIA policies and procedures.

• Participate in ISP development, assessments, interdisciplinary meetings, and annual planning.

• Develop and maintain staffing schedules to ensure appropriate supervision levels.

• Review and oversee required program documentation, including:

  • Daily Training Records

  • Communication logs

  • Incident reports

  • Behavior documentation

  • Medication records

  • Recreation schedules

  • Progress notes

  • Fire drills and safety documentation

  • Vehicle logs and additional required records

• Conduct monthly staff meetings and provide ongoing coaching and performance support.

• Assist with investigations and reporting related to unusual incidents, abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with DDD requirements.

• Step in to provide direct support or lead coverage as needed.

What We're Looking For

Education

• High School Diploma required.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years working with individuals with autism or other intellectual/developmental disabilities.

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.

• Residential program experience preferred.

• Experience using Therap preferred.

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Driver's License (or eligible out-of-state license within required timeframe).

• Reliable transportation.

• Minimum age of 20 years.

• Successful completion of all required DDD training within established timeframes.

• New hire physical and negative Mantoux test.

• Ability to pass:

  • Criminal Background Check

  • Drug Screening

  • CARI

  • Central Registry Check
