We produce high-quality ready-to-eat hamburger buns and English muffins for over 2,000 quick-service restaurants, retail chains, and sandwich makers across the Midwest. Our new Columbus facility reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence — featuring a modern production line capable of producing over 8,000 buns per hour. We are also scheduled to begin producing pancakes in August, further broadening our product capabilities. As we are near the completion of construction, we're building up our team and looking for dedicated individuals to be a part of this exciting new chapter.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 (Based on Experience)

The Production Manager will lead all aspects of production operations at our Columbus plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output that meets both customer and company standards. This role is critical in overseeing daily line performance, leading and developing teams, and implementing continuous improvement strategies aligned with our food safety, quality, and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, yield targets, and quality standards.
- Lead and develop Production Supervisors, Line Leads, and hourly production staff to maintain a high-performance work culture.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and GMP compliance across all shifts.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Scheduling teams to ensure seamless operation and issue resolution.
- Manage labor and resource planning, including shift coverage and employee scheduling.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line efficiency, waste reduction, and employee engagement.
- Ensure training and onboarding programs are executed consistently to build workforce capability.
- Track production metrics and use data-driven insights to improve processes and address root causes of deviations.
- Support readiness for customer audits, internal inspections, and third-party certification processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager to implement strategic goals and scale operations as volume grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience in food manufacturing, preferably bakery or baked goods.
- Proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety, quality systems (HACCP, SQF), and OSHA requirements.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with manufacturing KPIs, lean manufacturing, and root cause problem solving.
- This role operates in a production environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving machinery.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- This facility runs a multi-shift operation and may require availability on off-shifts or weekends based on business needs.
