Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assisted Living Nurse Administrator to oversee the nursing operations within our assisted living facility. You will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, managing patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective patient management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance resident care and safety.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health needs and coordinate appropriate care plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Manage medical records and documentation using EMR/EHR systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
- Participate in budgeting and resource management to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on best practices in patient care.
- Address family concerns and provide education on resident health issues.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in assisted living or senior care environments.
- Critical care experience is highly desirable, with a background in hospital medicine or emergency medicine preferred.
- Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
- Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and utilization management practices.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and case management principles.
- Experience with healthcare management practices, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Proficient in EMR/EHR systems; ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
- Knowledge of hospice care, acute care, ICU experience, or Level I/II trauma center experience is a plus.
