Duties
- Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure safety and proper conduct
- Assist with meal distribution and help students with special dietary needs or accommodations
- Promote positive behavior management by encouraging respectful interactions among students
- Monitor children’s activities to prevent conflicts and intervene when necessary using conflict management skills
- Support children with behavioral or emotional challenges by applying appropriate behavior management techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized lunch area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to address any concerns or needs during lunchtime
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom experience or teaching fundamentals helps in managing student interactions effectively
- Familiarity with special education needs enhances your ability to support diverse student populations
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with staff and engaging positively with students
- Experience in conflict management and behavior management techniques ensures a safe and supportive environment
