Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent care and educational standards across the classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, needs, and developmental milestones
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental observations
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization to foster a stimulating learning environment
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is preferred
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; ongoing training in early childhood education is encouraged
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs enhances your suitability for this role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and their families
