New Hope Shelter is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Staff member to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in our daily operations, providing essential support to our residents and ensuring smooth facility operations during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Resident Support: Assist residents with their needs, provide information, and offer compassionate guidance
- Facility Maintenance: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a welcoming and sanitary environment
- Access Management: Monitor and manage entry access by opening doors and assisting individuals entering the facility in a safe and welcoming manner
- General Support: Contribute to the overall positive atmosphere and efficient operation of the shelter
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
Schedule
- Full time position
- Tuesday through Saturday
- 2 pm to 10 pm
