Overview
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and dependable Part-Time Pianist / Choir Lead who has a heart for worship and ministry. We are looking for someone who can help foster a spirit-filled worship experience while leading our choir and congregation through music.
This is a great opportunity for a musician who enjoys serving in a welcoming church environment and helping a ministry grow.
Responsibilities
- Play piano/keyboard during Sunday worship services
- Lead and support choir rehearsals
- Assist with song selection
- Work collaboratively with church leadership and choir members
- Help create an uplifting, spirit-led worship atmosphere
- Arrive prepared and on time for rehearsals and services
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience playing piano/keyboard in a church setting preferred
- Proven experience in teaching or leading choir groups or musical ensembles
- Strong proficiency in piano performance and accompaniment skills
- Ability to play traditional gospel, hymns, and contemporary worship music
- Comfortable leading or directing a small choir
- Ability to play by ear
- Dependable, professional, and ministry-minded
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including, Sunday morning worship services, weekly choir rehearsal (schedule to be discussed), and additional services/events as needed
- Must be able to provide professional and/or ministry references upon request
