This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Technician, located in Durham, NC. The Veterinary Technician will perform a variety of tasks, including assisting veterinarians during procedures, providing routine and preventative animal care, monitoring anesthesia, and educating clients about pet health and care. Additional responsibilities include preparing and maintaining treatment areas, handling animals with care and compassion, and participating in diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic services as needed.
- Proficiency in Animal Care and Pet Care to ensure the welfare and safety of animals
- Working knowledge of Veterinary Technology, including diagnostic and medical procedures
- Experience in Client Education to effectively communicate pet care guidelines and health updates
- Skills in Anesthesiology, including monitoring anesthesia during procedures
- Compassionate demeanor and excellent animal-handling skills
- Strong organizational and teamwork abilities
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is highly preferred
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is advantageous
- Willingness to maintain a clean and safe working environment
