Overview:
New Heights Church is seeking an organized and enthusiastic PreK/Kindergarten Coordinator to support our PreK/Kindergarten ministry under the supervision of the Children’s Ministry Director. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for children ages birth through Kindergarten. They will work closely with the Children’s Ministry Director to ensure a seamless and effective ministry experience for the children and their families. As a part of our dedicated team, the Coordinator will contribute to shaping the spiritual foundation of the next generation, empowering them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Children’s Ministry Director in implementing age-appropriate, faith-based curriculum and activities for children 3 years old to Kindergarten.
Oversee the program area on Sunday mornings, ensuring a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for children.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers, providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to serve the children and their families effectively.
Step into any program area as needed, providing support and coverage when necessary.
Assist the Children’s Ministry Director with administrative tasks such as onboarding new volunteers, coordinating volunteer schedules, and maintaining volunteer records.
Support the Children’s Ministry Director in communicating with volunteers and families, providing updates on programming, events, and other ministry-related information.
Help prepare curriculum materials, ensuring resources are organized and readily available for volunteers.
Collaborate with the Children’s Ministry Director in planning and coordinating special events and programs, such as holiday celebrations and family outreach events.
Additional Duties As Assigned:
Recruitment, training, scheduling and discipleship of youth and college students involved in Children’s Ministry.
Qualifications:
A strong, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a passion for sharing His love with young children and their families.
Previous experience in PreK/Kindergarten ministry, childcare, or a related field.
Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and volunteers in a compassionate and engaging manner.
Team player, willing to support the Children’s Ministry Director and contribute to the overall success of the ministry.
