Responsibilities of the Event Assistant
- Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown for community outreach initiatives
- Engage directly with attendees and share information about nonprofit programs and community initiatives
- Support event logistics, materials, schedules, and attendee engagement activities
- Represent nonprofit partners professionally while helping strengthen overall brand awareness
- Assist with promotional activities designed to increase brand visibility and event participation
- Support outreach efforts that help expand each nonprofit partner's brand presence throughout the Birmingham market
- Collaborate with fellow Event Assistant team members to ensure events align with brand standards and campaign goals
- Track attendee engagement and event activity to support future brand development efforts
Qualifications for the Event Assistant
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Interest in events, communications, marketing, public relations, or brand awareness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable interacting with attendees in face-to-face environments
- Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, retail, outreach, or promotional roles is helpful but not required
