Purpose of Job:
To promote health and wellness within our communities by improving patient health outcomes through the active utilization of data, training, and quality improvement methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements and maintains the corporate quality improvement (QI) / quality assurance (QA) program to achieve desired outcomes for patients.
- Contributes to maintain and developing clinical workflows as appropriate.
- Works with clinical staff to support improvement of clinical quality metrics.
- Actively monitors quality dashboards and reports, identifies trends and focus areas, and effectively communicates relevant data to appropriate clinical and operations team members.
- Evaluates patient grievances of clinical nature and identifying areas for clinical workflow and safety improvement.
- Collaborates with Risk and Compliance, to monitor risk data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the training team for educational materials and planning on quality measure improvement and risk mitigation strategy training.
- Develop process improvement initiatives and supports Operations staff in carrying out initiatives.
- Supervises a small team of staff, providing guidance and oversight.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travel may be required
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field preferred. Certifications in CPHQ, CPHRM, Six Sigma, or related discipline preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in health care and quality improvement preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. EHR super user. Analytical and systems thinking with the ability to interpret and share data with the result of quality metric improvement. Ability to work staff and lead change management.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently
lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Travel may be required.
