We are looking for a motivated and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinic, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they have a seamless and positive experience from the moment they walk in.
The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the front office operations of the medical clinic, including, but not limited to, patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient records, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet patients with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival.
· Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information in the medical records system.
· Schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments, and handle cancellations.
· Answer & direct phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and taking messages when necessary.
· Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for patient visits.
· Collect co-pays and process patient payments.
· Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication.
· Communicate with patients, doctors, and insurance companies to coordinate appointments and referrals.
· Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proficiency in English and Spanish
· Experience in medical records management, referrals, EMR software (eClinicalWorks) required
· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
· Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
