Pay: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
New Haven is a private boarding school and residential treatment center for young women in grades 7–12, accredited by COGNIA. We are currently seeking a hands-on, PE teacher to join our team at our program in Spanish Fork. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small, nurturing, and highly collaborative teaching environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging physical education curriculum that supports physical and wellness goals and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Communicate with therapists, teachers, and residential staff regarding student progress.
- Monitor student progress, updating grades on a weekly basis
- Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.
- Promote lifelong wellness habits and educate students on the benefits of physical activity and healthy living.
- Participate in faculty meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field (required).
- Valid Utah teaching license (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with adolescents, particularly in therapeutic, residential, or special education settings (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the emotional and behavioral needs of students.
