Seeking an Assistant to the CEO (Half time)
The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) Assistant to the CEO must be highly organized, detail oriented, and excel at managing multiple responsibilities. A positive attitude and collaborative spirit are highly valued.
The Assistant reports to the Chief Executive Officer and assists her in realizing the NHSO’s vision to Inspire, Delight, Challenge, and Connect diverse audiences and communities through the power of live music.
The Assistant will interact with a broad range of people including members of the Senior Management Team, the Board of Directors, and artistic leaders.
Responsibilities include:
· Managing the organization and CEO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and calls
· Drafting, reviewing, and sending communications for the CEO
· Prioritizing emails and responding as appropriate
· Stewardship of Board Directors
· Support of Senior Management’s Community Engagement activities
· General administrative support
· Other duties as assigned by the CEO
To succeed in the position, the Assistant to the CEO requires:
· Strong interpersonal skills
· A flexible, can-do attitude.
· Being detail oriented
· Excellent time-management skills
· Proficient in computer programs, to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Proficiency in a second language is highly valued
This position is half-time, salaried and offers generous vacation, person, sick time, and a contribution toward health insurance. A flexible schedule is possible; salary is commensurate with experience (minimum: $19,500).
