PARAPROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS- HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAM
Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic educators who are willing to assist in fostering a dynamic learning environment. In this position, you will primarily work with students who have fallen behind in their academic level, which may require you to provide extra help or assist the classroom teacher in modifying various assignments. You must also ensure that your students are active and engaged throughout the length of the class. Our ideal applicant has prior experience working with students in a similar position.

Non-certified teachers/Paraprofessionals: $17.50 per hour
Union Paraprofessionals: $25.00 per hour
19.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, an Associate's degree, a Bachelor's degree, or has received a qualifying score on the ParaPro Assessment
- Experience with working in a high school setting
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting students with comprehension of material across various subject area classrooms.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with the special education teachers
- Encourage students to build their confidence in their own abilities to learn
- Flexibility to work with high needs students in a heterogeneous environment
- Assist with tutoring and/or modifying student work in addition to any other duties that may be assigned by the building leads or program director for the duration of the program.
Compensation
Non-certified teachers/Paraprofessionals: $17.50 per hour
