Restorative Justice: (Willing to train the right individual for the assignment)
- Must be Student Centered/focused
- Collaborative problem solving
- Conflict Resolution
- Effective Communication skills (both speaking and in writing) , and willing to communicate with families by phone, in-person, or via email.
- Leadership
- Experience with behavior change interventions
- Ability to analyze a conflict, identify root causes and assist parties in finding a mutually agreed upon resolution
- Personal and professional commitment to equity and inclusion
- provide training and outreach programs on conflict resolution, de-escalation strategies, and mediation skills to promote constructive communication and problem-solving for students and staff
- Implement an on-going assessment model to produce information on student conduct
- Identify behavioral trends
- Use of data for purposes of planning and proactive/preventative and education
- Understanding concepts of multiculturalism, diversity, power/privilege and how these impact the perception and resolution of conflict.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience in Restorative Justice/Practice
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution programs
- Experience promoting cultural awareness and social justice
- Self-Motivated, independent worker
- Effective Team member
- Produce will-written resolution agreements for parties involved in a dispute
- Participation in organizational diversity and equity initiatives
- Must have 60 college credits or state approved assessment - Title 1
Salary: Salary is in accordance with the New Haven Schools Para-professional Association/MEA and the New Have Board of Education
Candidate must pass background check.
