Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Lead Clinician for our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This pivotal role involves leading clinical operations, providing expert mental health care, and guiding a team of clinicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment in a virtual setting to individuals between the ages of 12 to 25. The Lead Clinician will oversee patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of mental health professionals delivering virtual IOP services.
- Conduct comprehensive patient intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing clinical reviews.
- Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Utilize evidence-based techniques including motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and behavior management strategies to support diverse patient needs.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms while ensuring HIPAA compliance and maintaining accurate medical documentation and records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, medical records review, and research initiatives to improve clinical outcomes.
- Lead crisis management efforts by assessing risk levels and implementing appropriate interventions for patients experiencing acute mental health crises or behavioral challenges.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure required (e.g., LCISW, LMHC, LMFT).
- Extensive experience in behavioral health settings with expertise in outpatient care, inpatient services, or clinic environments.
- Proven proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art or dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with telehealth platforms and virtual patient engagement tools.
- Familiarity with working with children and teens, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or special education populations preferred.
- Skills in crisis intervention, social work practices, case management, addiction counseling, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), grief counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Ability to lead clinical teams effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
