What are the responsibilities and job description for the Follow-Up Nurse, Clinic Services position at New Hanover County?
Duties specific to the follow-up nurse position include scheduling and coordinating appointments for various programs, corresponding with patients regarding their appointment times, abnormal lab results, prescription refills and/or answering/returning patient phone calls; serving as a "point of contact" for outside agencies if additional information is needed related to patient care; serving as a backup contact for positive syphilis and HIV cases, NCEDSS (State Reporting system), treatment and referrals as needed; and cross training to be able to assist in all clinic programs especially the BCCCP and Colposcopy clinics. Document in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and able to multitask with good communication skills.

Hours:
-8:00 AM - 5:00 PM weekdays; must be flexible to work in evening clinics until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays.
-Must be available to work during emergency situations.

Salary Information:
The hiring range for this position is $59,168 - $79,877 a competitive benefits package. Salary is negotiable within the hiring range, depending on qualifications.

Required Education and Experience:
- Valid North Carolina Driver License required by first date of employment with good driving record.
- Valid RN license - Eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing which includes a public health nursing rotation
- OR graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
- 2 years of professional nursing experience
