Title: Career Engagement Coordinator (Grades 9-13)
Qualifications:
1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree
2. Current Continuing Professional License in a CTE program area
OR
3. Current Continuing Professional license as a School Counselor at the G level
OR
4.Career development work experience in business, industry, or labor; coordinator of work-based learning (job-shadowing, internships, cooperative education, apprenticeships); or business and industry engagement in positions such as business development director, community and government outreach coordinator, career counselor and career development specialist.
Job Goal:
Works under the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department and supports upper high school students by assisting them in preparing for successful transitions to postsecondary education, employment, military service, or advanced career training. The Career Engagement Coordinator (CEC) facilitates connections with parents, business and industry partners, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations to support students in gaining real-world experience and preparing for the workforce. The CEC coordinates and manages workbased learning opportunities, supports Career and Technical Education pathways, assists students with career development planning, and ensures students complete necessary career readiness benchmarks prior to graduation. The CEC also collaborates with school staff to support credentialing opportunities, CTE Career and College Promise (CCP) programs, and post-graduation tracking.
