What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Prep Cook - NH Food Bank position at New Hampshire Catholic Charities Inc?
The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team (40 hours/week) as a Production Prep Cook with the Recipe for Success Program (RFS). The Production Prep Cook supports the Production Chef and Chef Instructor with food preparation, volunteer/student coordination, administrative duties and outreach functions including catering and food truck events.

Duties
- Assist Culinary Team in food production.
- Assist Production Chef in the preparation of partner agency meals.
- Aide in guiding volunteer opportunities within the kitchen related to bulk meal production and cleaning as needed.
- Help maintain temperature logs and inventory records daily.
- Assist with the development and management of outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor.
- Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas and equipment.
- Pick agency meal orders and maintain inventory control.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of experience.
- ServSafe Manager’s Certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- Ability to complete Forklift Driver Training/Certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment, preferred.
- Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preferred.
