Join the team fighting hunger in New Hampshire! The New Hampshire Food Bank (NHFB) is seeking a Development Associate to provide administrative support to the development team. The Development Associate will routinely communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and will assist with supporting operations of the Food Bank.
Responsibilities:
Donor Acknowledgement and Stewardship
· Oversee the timely preparation and mailing of all thank you letters for monetary gifts, sponsorships, in-kind donations, auctions, and raffles.
· Gather information on how specific gifts are utilized and report this impact back to donors to foster long-term engagement.
· Facilitate the annual Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Holiday Card appeals.
· Support the Executive Director and Director of Development with donor outreach, engagement and scheduling.
Food Drive Coordination and Community Engagement
· Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for all community and corporate food drives.
· Schedule, coordinate, and lead engaging tours of the NHFB for potential donors, corporate partners, and community members.
Event Support and Administrative Duties
· Assist with major administrative duties for signature events, including managing donation records and tracking in-kind donation solicitations.
· Work all signature events and select third-party events as needed to represent the organization (This requires occasional night and weekend availability).
· Collaborate with the CCNH Development team to maintain the direct mail and newsletter calendar.
· Handle various day-to-day administrative tasks to support the efficiency and goals of the broader Development Department.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database, preferred.
· 2 years of experience in a non-profit development office or as an events coordinator a plus.
