Position Summary
This is not a traditional business development role. Instead, you'll lead the Inside Sales and Customer Service team, overseeing customer orders, quotations, pricing and commercial operations while partnering closely with Engineering, Production, Planning and Supply Chain.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll drive customer satisfaction, operational excellence and continuous improvement across a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
As a Inside Sales Manager, you will:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives through coaching, mentoring, performance management and accountability.
- Drive customer service excellence, responsiveness and operational performance across the team.
- Oversee customer quotations, pricing, order management and commercial decision-making.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Planning, Supply Chain and Field Sales to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues, driving timely resolutions and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Support contract reviews, pricing strategy and commercial negotiations while protecting margin and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor KPIs, team performance and service levels, implementing continuous improvement initiatives where needed.
- Prioritise workload and resources within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment to meet changing customer demands.
The ideal Inside Sales Manager will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- 5 years' leadership experience managing Inside Sales, Customer Service or Commercial Operations teams.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing customer-facing teams.
- Strong commercial understanding of pricing, quotations, gross margin and profitability.
- Strong ERP/MRP systems experience.
- Experience within aerospace, bearings, motion control, industrial manufacturing, industrial distribution or other engineered products.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Production Planning, Supply Chain and Sales.

Compensation :
Base Salary: $140,000–$165,000 DOE (some flexibility available for the right candidate).
Bonus: 15%
