Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Recovery Coach (CARC) to provide peer-based support services to individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. This is a flexible, part-time role where the coach will meet with patients on an as-needed basis, both in-person and/or virtually depending on patient needs.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and able to build rapport while supporting individuals in maintaining recovery, navigating resources, and achieving personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one recovery coaching sessions to assigned patients
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining recovery plans
- Assist patients in accessing community resources (housing, employment, healthcare, etc.)
- Serve as a mentor and role model for recovery
- Maintain appropriate documentation of services provided
- Collaborate with clinical team members as needed
- Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
Qualifications
- Required: Current Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) certification (Massachusetts)
- Lived experience with recovery preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation (if in-person meetings are required)
- Basic computer skills for documentation
Schedule
- Flexible, as-needed basis
- Hours will vary depending on patient demand and availability
Compensation
- $15–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
