New Glarus is located approximately 35 minutes from Madison, 30 minutes from Fitchburg, and 20 minutes from Verona and Monroe.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our bakery. This is a part-time position scheduled three days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floor surfaces
- Clean and maintain floor and stairwell areas
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials
- Clean windows, doors, and plastic partitions using appropriate cleaning products and equipment
- Clean employee and customer areas as assigned
- Replenish paper products and cleaning supplies
- Follow the housekeeping schedule provided by management
- Notify management when supplies are running low or maintenance concerns are identified
- Complete other housekeeping duties based on the needs of the bakery
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Must be able to follow an established cleaning schedule
- Background check required
- Drug testing may be required

- Approximately 3–5 hours of cleaning per day
Compensation
- Starting pay of $15.00 per hour
- Eligible employees participate in the bakery’s shared tip program, which typically adds $2–$3 per hour to their pay.
