We’re looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our team and help run the day-to-day accounting operation across a growing portfolio of companies in the games, tech, and entertainment industry.
This is a remote role that can start part-time or full-time, with the ability to scale responsibility and compensation by taking ownership of additional clients.
About New Game Advisory
New Game Advisory provides accounting and finance solutions on a fractional basis to gaming, tech and entertainment companies. We partner with founders to help companies launch, grow, and scale, with a particular focus on teams in gaming, tech and other high-growth industries.
What you’ll own
- Lead and manage junior accounting staff (priorities, reviews, coaching)
- Run the monthly close across assigned clients and ensure on-time, accurate delivery
- Lead client meetings and present financial results
- Monitor and manage client communications to maintain responsiveness and service quality
- Build and improve workflows, SOPs, templates, and internal controls
- Act as an operator: anticipate issues, flag risks, and keep work moving
- Partner with founders and internal leadership on financial clarity
- Coordinate with tax, audit, and payroll providers

What we’re looking for
- 5 years of accounting experience (startup, inventory, tech, or gaming a plus)
- Experience managing junior staff and client relationships
- Strong GAAP and month-end close expertise
- Operator mindset: proactive, organized, and accountable
- Clear communicator with non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
