What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Coordinator position at New Era?
The Community Outreach Coordinator will build, strengthen and deepen community relationships in/around the Northeast region. The primary purpose of this position is to build awareness, visibility, understanding, and support of New Era Therapeutic Counseling Center's mission and ability to contribute to the MRSA Northeast Texas community that will translate to an ongoing awareness and increase of client referrals.
Travel is required for the Northeast Texas region such as Tyler, Longview, Marshall, and other surrounding areas.
Candidates must be able to complete marketing and referral process within 72 hours after initial contact, have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Duties:
- Promote, coordinate, and communicate our services to doctor’s offices, schools, community centers, hospitals, residential treatment centers, group homes, family law firms, and other organizations through marketing materials, presentations, and virtual / phone
- Creates productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external referral sources to obtain qualified referrals and enrollments in company programs and services.
- Presents the New Therapeutic Counseling Center's program and services to groups who are likely prospects and community referral sources.
- Conduct community outreach activities by identifying, attending, and participating in community events, business fairs, professional associations, and networking opportunities to ensure the agencies visibility and presence in the MRSA Northeast area.
- Develops and implements own business development and outreach plan and carries out activities to strengthen and enhance community relationships and support and establish long-term relations with community partners.
- Utilize spreadsheets, calendar, and other tools to track all engagements, contacts, and outreach efforts.
- Maintain records of contacts and provides weekly reports and feedback to leadership regarding scope of appointments, performance, and
- Regularly review effectiveness of efforts against goals. Provides market intelligence to the Director so that adjustments can be made to tactical plans.
- Assist and complete intake process for new referral clients with compassion/professionalism generating sufficient enrollment applications to meeting monthly enrollment goals.
- Manage own professional development by seeking advice, training, and coaching from their colleagues, manager, and the Director of Operations.
Experience:
- Knowledge and experience working with community organizations, low-income and disadvantaged communities.
- Proven experience working in a customer facing role focused on customer service, sales, and lead generation in a high paced customer service or sales environment; at least one (1) year of sales experience in healthcare or group insurance preferred.
- Knowledge of customer service, sales, outreach and marketing principles and practices.
- High School diploma required; AS or BA/BS degree preferred and/or comparable experience.
