Lab Coordinator/Phlebotomist

New England Women’s Healthcare, a physician-owned practice, is seeking a full time Lab Coordinator/Phlebotomist with a strong interest in working in a busy OBGYN Practice.

NEWH provides preventive gynecological care, prenatal and obstetrics services, personalized family planning, and more. The office is located in Woburn and Wilmington.

The team delivers the best care that modern medicine has to offer. They offer several services under one roof, including high-definition ultrasound imaging, laboratory testing, and in-office minimally invasive procedures, to name a few.

Job Duties:

· Responsible for the coordination, compliance, and daily operations of the Laboratory

· Obtain patient specimens for testing through blood draws and other methods

· Specimen collection, processing and testing for in-house laboratory

· Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results

· Assure test results are properly entered into the Practice’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

· Adhere to the lab’s quality control policies, documenting all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed

· Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples·

Work Schedule:

This is a full time position, 40 hour/week. The position is Monday through Friday. There are no weekends or holidays.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree- Required
• Phlebotomy experience-2 years minimum required
• Clinical lab experience-Required Clinical lab experience - Required
• OBGYN, Women's Healthcare experience-Preferred

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
