The Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator operates and oversees drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities and components. Duties include conducting routine water and wastewater tests, entering data, collecting regulatory samples, making process control decisions when authorized, and performing basic maintenance and repairs. The role requires maintaining relevant certifications, adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining facility cleanliness, and availability for on-call emergencies in the Woodsville, NH area. Required Qualifications and Certifications: Ability and commitment to maintain required water/wastewater certifications, or to obtain the necessary certifications with the goal of becoming a certified Operator. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a history of responsible driving. Candidates will undergo background screening and motor vehicle record checks as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications: Possession of a valid New Hampshire Grade 1 Wastewater or Grade 3 Water certification. We are also open to training the right candidate who is committed to obtaining these certifications. Technical or mechanical experience. Proficiency with computers and software applications.
