This role is responsible for physical cycle counts, sourcing hard-to-find and obsolete parts, organizing and standardizing parts storage, disposing of obsolete inventory, and managing vendor and procurement relationships that keep shop operations supplied. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage a recurring physical cycle count program across all NETC shop locations; investigate and resolve inventory variances
  • Source hard-to-find, backordered, and obsolete parts, using vendor networks, supplier relationships, and industry resources
  • Design, implement, and maintain standardized parts storage and organization systems (bin locations, labeling, staging) at each shop location
  • Identify obsolete and slow-moving inventory across all locations and manage its disposition (return, liquidation, or write-off) in coordination with finance
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and supplier relationships for parts, equipment, and shop supplies to control cost and ensure supply reliability
  • Monitor and manage purchasing activity to standardize procurement practices across NETC's multiple locations
  • Anticipate parts and supply needs by location based on work mix, reducing shop downtime caused by stockouts
  • Partner with shop service leadership on receiving, staging, and day-to-day parts availability
  • Travel regularly between NETC shop locations to perform counts, audits, and on-site support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Prior hands-on experience in parts operations, procurement, or logistics; direct field experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience with physical inventory management, including cycle counts and obsolescence control
  • Procurement and vendor negotiation experience, including sourcing hard-to-find or backordered parts
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly between multiple shop locations
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience designing or improving physical storage/inventory systems

Preferred:

  • Degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Experience in fleet, towing, heavy truck, or related industry parts operations
  • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems
  • Experience supporting multiple locations for a single company
