Job Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled Sales Arborist & PHC Specialist who will build and lead our PHC services and team. This is a "hybrid" role for a professional who excels at building client relationships and performing specialized diagnostic treatments. You will identify tree health issues, sell customized treatment plans, and execute those services to ensure the longevity of our clients' landscapes. You will recruit and manage technicians as needed to grow the PHC team.
Key responsibilities
- Sales & Consulting: Conduct residential site visits to assess tree health and generate professional estimates. Manage sales to our existing clients. Develop new business through outside sales efforts, including cold calling, territory management, and lead generation activities
- Diagnostic Expertise: Identify common New England pests and diseases (e.g., Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, Beech Leaf Disease, Spotted Lanternfly) and recommend appropriate treatment plans
- PHC Execution: Perform specialized healthcare treatments, including soil injections, trunk injections, and systemic sprays
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, explaining technical tree health issues in clear, accessible terms
Qualifications and Requirements
- Language: English fluency is required. Spanish language skills are highly preferred
- Certification: ISA Certified Arborist
- Licensing: Commercial Pesticide Applicator License for CT is highly preferred
- Experience: 2 years in the tree care industry with a focus on plant health and sales
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with using digital estimating software
- Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean record for operating company vehicles
