Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental and medical office systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing procedures. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service via phone and in person
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms
  • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes accurately
  • Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle collections efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, handle appointment intake, and address patient inquiries with professionalism
  • Facilitate communication between clinical staff and patients regarding care plans and treatment instructions
  • Ensure all front desk operations adhere to office policies and procedures

Experience

  • Prior experience in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred, especially with dental terminology and clinic experience
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance in all patient interactions
  • Experience with hospital or clinic administrative support roles is advantageous

Pay: $19.30 - $29.26 per hour
