Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through exhibits and programs
- Assist with educational activities, including hands-on workshops for children and adults
- Support collection management tasks such as cataloging artifacts, maintaining databases, and ensuring proper storage procedures
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, donations, and program participation using various databases
- Collaborate with staff on research projects related to the museum’s collections and history
Qualifications
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media management tools, Google suite and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge and experience with POS systems
- Knowledge of collection cataloging systems and database management preferred
- Experience in fundraising activities or event planning is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
