Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards across all areas
- Manage janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure operational readiness
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards to uphold health and safety regulations
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies as needed for room turnover or maintenance requests
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical agent handling
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hospitality standards
- Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and chemical handling protocols
