What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fence Installer/Laborer position at New England Post & Rail?
We are a growing fence company based in Ashby, MA, specializing in agricultural, commercial, and residential fencing. We're looking for a dependable, motivated individual who wants more than just a job—someone interested in building a career with opportunities for advancement. Our goal is to develop the right person into a crew leader who can eventually run their own fencing crew.
What You'll Do
- Install agricultural, commercial, and residential fencing
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Operate hand and power tools
- Load, unload, and transport materials
- Work around livestock and other farm animals on agricultural projects
- Maintain a safe and professional job site
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to our shop in Ashby or directly to job sites
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working around animals and livestock
- Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic
- Able to work well as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
- CDL
- Hoisting license
- Construction or fencing experience
