What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Preschool Teacher position at New England Montessori School?
New England Montessori School is looking for a Lead Teacher to join our team of fabulous teachers! Our school embraces both Montessori and traditional teachings using thematic units to enhance learning and play. Our school has 3 classrooms with students ranging in age from 2.9 - 5 years of age. We are a close knit group of 6 teachers that work together planning and sharing ideas to create fun learning, crafts and play. This classroom position is in charge of 14 children with an assistant teacher. We offer a full curriculum closet with loads of materials for the classroom. We also enjoy outdoor time on our playground everyday as it always adds to a well rounded day! A typical day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 p.m. This position has flexible hours from 8:00-1:00 or 3:30. All lead teachers are given 4 weeks paid vacation aligning with the school year calendar as well as personal days and paid weather cancellations. We begin our school year the Monday after Labor Day and end the year the 2nd week of June. New England Montessori School has been a part of the community for over 20 years! Come join our team!
