Position: Clinical Supervisor (also known as Clinical Manager, depending on the number of direct reports) Department: Clinical Reports to: Vice President of Clinical Services Position Classification: Exempt Position Overview: The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the management and growth of the clinical program, supervision of staff, managing a caseload, providing group/patient support as needed for daily and evening program operations (depending on location), and on-call availability as part of the Clinical Management Team. The Clinical Supervisor will support compliance and best practice with fiscal, ethical, and legal standards, as well as ensure alignment with the core values and mission of NEMG. Specific Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient ProgramEnsure regulatory compliance in all matters including clinical, medical, and operationsEnsure clinical quality through direct supervision of the clinical team/program staffResponsible for hiring and retaining a top-quality team of operational and clinical professionalsCarry a caseload and group coverage according to census and program needsWork with and manage outside vendors including billing, environmental, and othersMaintain fiscal responsibility and collaboration with Authorization/Billing and EMR affiliatesPerform chart audits, documentation approval, and staff supervisionFacilitate daily operations meetings, and weekly staff meetingsDevelop and oversee group curriculum focused on mental health and substance use disordersWork in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and identify appropriate level of care for patientsThe Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Senior VP of Clinical Services, and/or any designated director/senior leader, and will perform any other functions and tasks as assignedEducation and Experience: LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent independent clinical licensure3 years of experience working in a substance abuse, mental health, psychiatric facility, or equivalent business and leadership experienceSolid knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operationsAn advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health managementWorking knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing methodsCompetencies: Strategic Thinking: Develops a workable plan to get from current to the desired goal. The effective Clinical Supervisor can see ahead clearly and anticipate consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective and can translate this into a plan based on key strategies that will provide long-lasting progress for patients and the program.Communication: The Clinical Supervisor must communicate effectively not only internally but externally too with licensure parties, consumers, suppliers, and the community. Communicates, evaluates, and performs in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of NEMG.Builds an Effective Clinical Team: Getting a clinical and multidisciplinary team engaged and working together is an important skill. The Clinical Supervisor's responsibility is to manage the program in such a way that departments and individuals work together to fulfill the vision.Work Environment: Works in a professional environment including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or outpatient facilities. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
