Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Job Description:
New England Medical Group provides outpatient integrative behavioral healthcare and addiction services, with a holistic approach of bridging the gaps in services for people seeking medical and therapeutic support. The position is in our Norwell, MA location.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the compassionate care of patients seeking treatment for Behavioral Healthcare and/or Substance Use Disorder by conducting psychiatric assessments, providing medication management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and follow-up appointments. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a caseload within our day treatment programs as well as outpatient level of care.
This is an on-site position. Schedule will require coverage of 1 evening (until 9pm) per week.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure in Massachusetts as PMHNP/APEN/RNCS and certification by a nationally recognized accrediting body approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing or NCCPA.
- A current valid and unrestricted certificate with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration Board.
- Completion of an accredited, Board-approved master’s or post-master’s nurse practitioner program
- Minimum of two years experience with psychiatric care and/or substance abuse disorders - performing assessments, diagnostic procedures, medication management, and counseling
- Computer literacy and ability to work on EMR.
- Individually credentialed an added bonus
