New England Life Care is hiring a full-time Logistics and Facilities Supervisor to join our growing team! This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.


Job Summary: The Logistics and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics department, ensuring accurate packaging, coordinated routing, and timely delivery of medications and supplies to NELC infusion patients. This role involves supervising all levels of Logistics Technicians, managing departmental workflows, and ensuring all facility and patient safety standards are strictly maintained. The person in this position is responsible for the coordination of seamless and cross-departmental workflow. Ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met. Delegates inter-department responsibilities to staff to maintain business needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • Accurately selects appropriate inventory items in accordance with delivery tickets in a timely manner.
  • Collaboratively works with pharmacy and nursing to ensure timely delivery of medications and supplies to patients.
  • Keeps pharmacy / nursing / delivery staff informed of any new delivery requirements including time restrictions. 
  • Responsible for department inventory management reports. 
  • Receives products into the warehouse, verifying packing slips to the corresponding shipment and reports any discrepancies to the Manager. Verifies quantity received, lot numbers are documented and accurate. Submit packing slips electronically for system inventory replenishment.
  • Monitors packing slips’ electronic submission communication for accuracy and requests from Regional Purchasing.
  • Stocks enteral and medical supplies appropriately.
  • Delivers medication to the designated area of the pharmacy and notifies designated pharmacy technician team member.
  • Barcodes and Maps inventory items as needed in the system.
  • Conducts inventory transfers enteral, medication, and supplies as requested.
  • Conducts regular cycle counts for enteral and supplies for inventory accuracy improvement.
  • Conducts enteral and supply expiration process to remove expired product from on hand inventory.
  • Maintains inventory reports.
  • Appropriately stocks all supplies that are necessary to package and ship patient orders, this includes all shipping of IV and enteral.
  • Ensures rotation of enteral products upon receipt of new product.
  • Properly packages patient medication / Enteral / supply orders to ensure integrity of product during shipment, to include proper labeling of bags and boxes to be delivered by all delivery methods. Demonstrates the ability to track packages through all delivery methods.
  • Assist drivers in the coordination of delivery routes and reviews compound/delivery schedule for completed orders daily to ensure no scheduled deliveries are missed. Communicates any delivery time commitments to drivers.
  • Schedules equipment, supplies and hazardous waste retrievals from patient homes in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates hazardous waste storage and pick-up and ensures that designated area of warehouse is appropriately labeled and maintained in a neat / clean manner. 
  • Assists in maintaining accurate delivery instructions and addresses.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Valid Driver license in state of employment required.
  • Excellent driving record required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure as Pharmacy Technician as required by state specific Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service field preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • Completes six continuing education programs in the period specifically related to professional development, LEAN and/or leadership development
  • Relationship, empathy, customer service training course in desired form classroom/online training (6 hours)
  • Completes education on OSHA safety standards,
  • Complete Flow diagram and excel training course (4 hours)
