JOB TITLE: Marketing Specialist

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reports to the Director of Marketing

Over the past 80 years, NEIT has evolved alongside the world and the workplace. We are seeking a skilled Marketing Specialist to help us tell the next chapter of NEIT’s story and contribute to the overall success of our institution and its programs.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Specialist will support the execution of projects and campaigns related to student recruitment and brand awareness by utilizing an integrated mix of marketing strategies. Channels include but are not limited to organic and paid social media, digital advertising, email marketing, SEO, streaming and broadcast media, direct mail, and both virtual and in-person events. These strategies aim to achieve enrollment goals and increase awareness of NEIT offerings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Support the university marketing team in the overall implementation of effective enrollment marketing projects, campaigns, and systems

· Support the development and distribution of engaging content for use in digital/web, social media, and print platforms, ensuring consistency with university branding

· Collaborate with internal departments – including admissions, faculty, financial aid, community relations, and other key stakeholders – to support marketing initiatives aligned with the enrollment marketing calendar

· Work closely with external vendors such as graphic designers, videographers, photographers, media contacts, marketing agencies, and print shops to ensure alignment to scope and strategy

· Maintain consistent, on-brand messaging across all programs and university initiatives

· Monitor campaign performance and assist in compiling key metrics to track campaign progress to goal

· Help create and manage social media campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok

· Support the management of Slate CRM. Assist in drafting, scheduling, and deploying email marketing campaigns to audiences including prospective students, parents, counselors, and local influencers

· Maintain and organize marketing databases, digital asset galleries, and content libraries to ensure easy access, version control, and consistent use across campaigns

· Support recruitment events such as open houses, college fairs, high school visits, and webinars to drive applications and ensure positive experiences for students and families

· Assist with development and maintenance of the NEIT website via WordPress

· Manage the promotional product inventory and collateral ordering process

· Manage the processing of invoices and budget tracking for the marketing team

· Develop a deep understanding of the NEIT brand and its perception, coordinating unique touchpoints to boost awareness and positively impact enrollment

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to clearly communicate the value of a New England Tech education across multiple written and visual formats to various audiences

· Collaborative and committed to serving as a positive and respectful representation of the NEIT community towards all colleagues, staff, and students

· Capable of supporting multiple priorities through effective project coordination tasks such as tracking timelines, coordinating schedules and maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

· Strong organizational, project management and time management skills; able to meet deadlines and follow through on assigned responsibilities

· Highly organized and professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to follow directions, workflows, and best practices set by team leadership

· Desire to learn and contribute ideas that improve marketing processes and workflows

· Willingness and ability to become proficient in the college's mission, purpose and goals - and the role of marketing in achieving them

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree required; previous higher education marketing experience preferred

· Positive and flexible attitude with excitement for impacting the lives of potential students

· Strong interpersonal skills, presentation experience, sales/marketing mindset, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively throughout all stages of a project in person and via phone, email, and video

· Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, GA4, Google Ads, Microsoft Office

Suite, Google Suite

· Experience with a marketing CRM (Slate preferred)

· Experience with WordPress or similar website CMS preferred

· Experience creating written and visual content for varying audiences

· Ability to work some evening and weekend events

· Valid driver’s license required

· This position is an in-person role seated at the East Greenwich, RI campus
