Job Title: Part‑Time Lab Assistant (Day Shift: 19-30 hours)
Position Summary
Supports trades faculty by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment. Assists with lab setup, equipment management, and student skill practice during daytime class sessions.
Location: Warwick, R.I.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tools, materials, and lab stations before classes.
- Assist instructors during demonstrations and hands‑on activities.
- Guide students in safe and proper use of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Monitor lab safety, enforce PPE requirements, and report hazards.
- Maintain, clean, and organize lab spaces; track and restock materials.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Practical construction trade experience.
- Knowledge of tools, materials, and installation practices.
- Ability to support safe tool use and lab procedures.
- Strong communication and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or trade program completion.
- Experience in residential or commercial plumbing.
- Prior lab, workshop, or training support experience.
Work Conditions
