Summary of Position: Advise and prepare college students/graduates for the job search; assist with; resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn profiles, and job search tools. Familiarity with Handshake platform a plus.
Contact employers to identify job leads and assist employers with marketing appropriate opportunities for students and graduates. Coordinate campus recruiting events.
Position Responsibilities
- Meet with students/grads from assigned academic programs to prepare them for the job search.
- Conduct in-class workshops for students about resume writing, interviewing skills, and identifying job leads. Develop new workshops as needed.
- Identify job leads for NEIT students and graduates.
- Assist employers in filling their job openings with NEIT graduates.
- Coordinate employer visits; on-campus recruiting events and recruiter class presentations.
- Participate in and assist with the University’s events and activities, including, but not limited to Commencement, Open House, and Orientation.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Career Services.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, business or related degree. 2 years professional experience in university career services, business-related field or related function. Strong interest in business and employment trends. Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills needed with the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
