New England Donor Services (NEDS) coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, the eastern counties of Vermont and Bermuda. Responsible for one of the largest of the 55 Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) that make up the nation’s donation system, NEDS works with over 200 hospitals and serves nearly 15 million people in our region, screening nearly 55,000 potential donor referrals annually. With nearly $150M in operating revenues, NEDS employs 398 clinical and non-clinical staff members throughout New England and across the country.

Job Description
Due to the hybrid requirements for this role we are currently only interviewing local candidates for this role.
This role is a blend of modern data storytelling and traditional business intelligence. The Data Analyst position will be responsible for designing high-end dashboards, maintaining a legacy data reporting environment, and serving as the primary point of contact for ad-hoc data requests. This role is beyond just "making charts.” They will bridge raw data and business strategy, helping NEDS move beyond "what happened" to understand "why it happened" and assist with "what we should do next."

- Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and present data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships among variables.
- Data Visualization: Demonstrable ability to design and deploy data visualization dashboards.
- Computer & Application Literacy: Solid foundational knowledge of SQL (T-SQL/SQL Server preferred). Ability in writing queries and stored procedures involving multi-table joins, subqueries, and common table expressions (CTEs).
- Regulated Processes and Systems: Ability to identify and interpret regulatory, business, and system requirements and then incorporate them into processes utilizing systems design thinking.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to critically think, problem solve, and work productively both independently and as a team participant. Skilled in active listening and proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree with preferred majors in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 0–2 years of experience in a data-centric role. Recent college graduates with relevant internship experience or significant academic project work is beneficial.
- Basic exposure to Python (Pandas) or R for data manipulation preferred.
- Experience in technical writing or creating user-facing manuals for software/tools preferred.
- Previous experience or coursework related to healthcare is helpful.
