What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Coordinator- Brewer position at New England Center for Children Inc?
The Day Coordinator is primarily responsible for the team's operation, Monday-Fridays during the day. The Day Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Program Specialist.
General Responsibilities:
- Work to ensure the health and safety of consumers and staff
- Teach consumers, implementing all behavior, vocational, and ISP objective programming
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, promote teamwork, and problem solving (scheduling, consumer guidelines, etc.)
- Model excellence in teaching by correctly implementing consumer behavior treatment programs, ISP curriculum, and teaching strategies designed to increase consumer independence
- Prioritize time spent per week conducting sessions, consumer observations, and staff training
- In conjuction with other team supervisors, act as a staff mentor and trainer
- Assist the Program Specialist in the completion of clinical and educational responsibilities
- Complete all documentation for regulatory and licensing purposes
Education/Experience:
- Residential Coordinator or similar experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of the principles of ABA
- Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proven leadership ability
- Active enrollment in, or completion of a Master’s degree program
